Privacy Policy

Ara is a private dictation keyboard for supported Apple and Android devices. Silpho provides Ara without an Ara account.

Ara does not use advertising SDKs, social tracking SDKs, crash SDKs, analytics SDKs, camera access, contact access, or location access. Dictation uses the microphone and the device's on-device speech recognition.

Voice and writing: Audio is captured, recognized, corrected, and inserted on your device. Ara does not upload audio, transcripts, dictionary entries, snippets, or typed text.

Local data: Your settings, dictionary, and snippets remain in Ara's private local storage. Deleting Ara removes this local data.

Keyboard boundary: The Ara keyboard contains no network or purchase code. On Apple devices, Full Access enables only the local App Group connection.

Ready mode on Apple devices: You can let other apps use Ara through an explicit control. Ara then keeps the microphone active while another app has focus. The system microphone indicator remains visible. Disable the control to release the microphone.

Ara uses RevenueCat, the App Store, and Google Play to sell one lifetime non-consumable unlock and to restore that unlock. RevenueCat may process purchase history, product identifiers, entitlement status, and an anonymous app instance identifier.

Ara does not create a user account and does not send a custom user ID to RevenueCat. Purchase history is not linked to your name or email unless you later write to us and include that information yourself.

Silpho uses this purchase data for app functionality (unlock and restore) and for RevenueCat dashboard counts. It is not used to track you across other companies' apps. Voice and writing are never included. RevenueCat acts as Silpho's purchase service provider.

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include so we can respond.

Local voice and writing stay on the device so you can dictate and edit without a cloud account.

Purchase data is used only to complete the lifetime unlock, restore access, prevent unauthorized access, and understand whether the product sold.

We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising. The only purchase service is RevenueCat. It processes purchase and entitlement data on our behalf. Apple and Google process store payments.

Local settings and writing data remain until you change them, delete them, or uninstall Ara. Silpho does not operate an Ara account database.

RevenueCat, Apple, and Google retain purchase records under their own policies. Silpho keeps support emails only as needed to respond.

You can restore a lifetime purchase from Ara. Delete local data by removing entries or uninstalling Ara. Contact Silpho for purchase-data access, correction, or deletion requests.

European users can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability where applicable. They can also object to processing. Contact Silpho to make a request.

Ara is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page.
