Privacy Policy

Ara is a private dictation keyboard provided by Silpho. It is designed to work on your iPhone without an Ara account.

Ara does not use advertising SDKs, social tracking SDKs, crash SDKs, analytics SDKs, camera access, contact access, or location access. Dictation uses the microphone and Apple on-device speech recognition only.

Voice and writing: Audio is captured, recognized, corrected, and inserted on this iPhone. Ara does not upload audio, transcripts, dictionary entries, snippets, or typed text.

Local files: Your dictionary and snippets are plain JSON in Ara's app group container. You can read, edit, and delete them. Deleting Ara deletes them with it.

Keyboard boundary: The Ara keyboard extension has no network code and does not link RevenueCat. Full Access is used only for the shared app group on this device.

Ara uses RevenueCat and the App Store to sell one lifetime non-consumable unlock and to restore that unlock. RevenueCat may process purchase history, product identifiers, entitlement status, and an anonymous app instance identifier.

Ara does not create a user account and does not send a custom user ID to RevenueCat. Purchase history is not linked to your name or email unless you later write to us and include that information yourself.

Silpho uses this purchase data for app functionality (unlock and restore) and for RevenueCat dashboard counts. It is not used to track you across other companies' apps. Voice and writing are never included.

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include so we can respond.

Local voice and writing stay on the device so you can dictate and edit without a cloud account.

Purchase data is used only to complete the lifetime unlock, restore access, prevent unauthorized access, and understand whether the product sold.

We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising. The only third-party service in the purchase flow is RevenueCat, which processes purchase and entitlement data on our behalf. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.

Local dictation files remain on your device until you change them, delete them, or uninstall Ara. Silpho does not operate an account database for Ara.

RevenueCat and Apple retain purchase records according to their own policies. Support emails may be kept as long as needed to respond.

You can restore a lifetime purchase from the paywall. You can delete local dictionary and snippet files, or delete the app. You can request help at the contact address below.

Ara is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page.
